Contrary to radio reports NO-ONE THREW URINE OR BRICKS AT POLICE. I suggest the police officer who alleged being hit by urine was standing too close to the horses.

I was at the protest and was debating with one of the cops about the rationale for bring in the horses. He tolde me that the police were taking a "once bitten, twice shy" approach to the protest. In other words, they thought that if they roughed the kids up a bit now, then they'll be deterred from protesting in the future.
He also justified the horse presence by correctly claiming there were more protestors than police. However, the same numbers were at the last youth and students protest, where everyone eventually moved on without any violence.
The charging horses, the whippings with horse whips, violent abduction of organisers, and lies about bricks and urine were not justified, and only caused more people to get hurt. I hope the police rethink their tactics next time.

POWER IN PEACE |

I was at the protest, and was arrested. They took my DNA and treated me like an animal. But this animal wants PEACE. THEY WONT KEEP ME DOWN.
Yesterday I was upset, reduced to a criminal when all I wanted was JUSTICE. Then I realised.. to them we're all criminals, for seeing the world for the fuct place it is. For standing up and saying NO: to War, to bullying, to murder for profit..To US Megalomania. They hate us for having the courage to stand by our convictions.
I went to my YSAW meeting, debating whether to quit this shit, debating whether to let them win.. I looked at my friends and saw, I'm not alone in what I want. Others were arrested, others were injured.. we all keep on fighting. I AM NOT THE CRIMINAL, THEY ARE. I cant let them win, my fight is too noble, my cause it too true.
THE BASTARDS CAN'T KEEP US DOWN because we have right on our side. We do this for the people that suffer, that they may find comfort in the fact that we stand for them. We do this in the hopes that we stop the continuing misuse of power. We do this because WE KNOW WE MUST.
Looking on the TV this morning I saw people dying, people fleeing. People being treated like animals. I felt so powerless, my heart hurt. Then I saw great hope.. people being arrested, being assaulted, people laying on streets, people marching, people shouting, people singing.. ALL FOR PEACE! UNIFIED WE HAVE GREAT POWER. We are not alone, we wont be kept down, we have right on our side and PEACE IS OUR RIGHT.
Amidst the chaos of this unjust world we gather together and do what we can for Peace.
I wont stop.. dont stop either.

police motives |

The way television news merged the stories of last Wednesday's Sydney students rally and the Perth student rally, cutting images from one to the other and back, must have been a deliberate effort to confuse viewers. The fact is the violence at Perth's student rally was TOTALLY INSTIGATED BY THE POLICE when they drove their police horses through the peaceful, seated crowd. The police were indeed the ones out of control. In the light of the Kennedy royal commission it should come as no surprise that our W.A. Police force is rife with such brutality and sadism. On Wednesday the police:
1. Beat people lying on the ground with horse whips (yes this was actually shown on ABC TV)
2. Forced their horses to tread on at least 3 people and breaking one young mans foot and knocking numerous others over who could not retreat due to being trapped at the front of the crowd.
3. Punched, beat and arrested several people at random. There is again video of evidence of an officer being restrained from repeatedly beating a youth with his baton.
Only then was any retaliation shown - a few empty plastic cool drink containers thrown from the back of the crowd at the police who where wearing protective clothing and helmets with face screens. There was no rocks or urine thrown. To any observer it was obvious the police actions where designed to provoke retaliation. Many of the students appeared shocked and disillusioned by the brutality of the police. They never expected these officers of the law they have been taught to look up to and respect would ever trample them under their horse hooves. Not for peacefully sitting on the road and chanting peace slogans. What will our adults of tomorrow learn from such police behaviour? To live in fear of a police state? To fight violence with violence? I hope not! I hope they use this experience to temper and strengthen their resolve to fight against injustice and oppression peacefully. But would anyone really be surprised if the next time they are brutalised by the police they respond like the youth seen at Sydney’s rally? If your safety were being threatened by violent attack with fist, batons, whips and charging horses would you not wish to defend yourself? Is this what the police inspector’s motive is? Perhaps inspector Greg Delwood (who appeared to be the officer in charge) would like to explain his motives.

FLAGS OF TYRANNY |

those U.S. flags were flags of tyranny donated by a American dude who wanted us to distribute them amongst the crowd... get them to tear them up and then send them to the U.S. Government..
The flag has bombs rather than stars and lists all the nations the U.S. has bombed in the past 50yrs:
Afghanistan, Bosnia, Cuba, Colombia, Chile, Cambodia, Congo, Dominica, Granada, Haiti, Iran, Iraq, Korea, Libya, Laos, Lebanon, Nicaragua, Panama, Salvadore, Somalia, Sudan, Vieques, Vietnam, Yemen and Yogoslavia.
The flag also names Britain, Israel and Australia as the new American States.
unfortunately we ran out of time to doit at the start and I announced people tear it at the U.S. consulate.. after the chaos they weren't collected and subsequenty wont be sent. The same stunt may be done at the next rally.

hi all,
It's me again.
Just writing to say that, yes, I was at the peace rally, and yes, the police were OUT OF CONTROL.
If the police constantly break the laws of this society, then who will police the police?
I say that the most corrupt governments are the ones with the most laws, and Australia seems to have an awful lot of laws banning all end everything, and a lot of laws that contradict other laws, such as the legal age to purchase tobacco products is 18 years of age, where as the legal age to use tobacco products is 16 years of age, but anyone who supplies tobacco products to a person under the age of 18 is liable to a hefty fine, and you can't even buy tobacco products for someone under the legal age of purchase, or you too will cop a hefty fine, so why don't they make the legal age to buy the legal age to smoke, or vice-versa? I don't understand, but that is just one example.
So, yes, the police were out of control, using batons, shields, horse whips and other items to inflict damage to protesters AND TO INNOCENT BYSTANDERS!
I say that this country is in need of a revoloution, we the people should start a revoloution against little Johnny, and install a WORKING government.
Democracy has turned into just another word for facism.
Little Johnny is our Furher.
Let us rid ourselves of this dictatoral regeme and begin a new world order.
Or at least a new Australian order.
